We recommend using a pool pad when replacing a swimming pool liner.

A swimming pool liner is made from vinyl and is a fairly strong material.  However, there are a lot of sharp objects that can come up and cut or grow through your liner causing leaks in your pool.

The Gorilla Pool Pad is laid out under your pool liner and helps stop grasses from growing up through your pool liner.  The pool padding also adds a little bit of cushion for the pool floor.
